OFF GRID SOLAR
Off-grid solar refers to a solar energy system that is not connected to the utility grid. This means that the solar panels generate electricity which is then stored in batteries for use by the property owner when the sun is not shining or at night. Off-grid solar systems are typically used in remote locations where it is not cost-effective or feasible to connect to the utility grid. These systems are also known as "stand-alone" or "battery-based" solar systems.
An off-grid solar system typically includes solar panels, an inverter to convert the DC power from the panels to AC power that can be used by the property, a charge controller to manage the charge and discharge of the batteries, and batteries to store the excess energy generated by the solar panels.
